    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, although the conventional window cleaning in automobile is performed by using a wiper, it is impossible to wipe down the whole surface and, in the window cleaning of multistored building, a person should perform the cleaning directly with a manual operation and, therefore, the operation is extremely dangerous and inefficient.
      SOLUTION: An electric field is formed by electrifying a glass main body into positive charge and, by utilizing such a property that material advancing into the positive electric field is repulsed or is attracted to a conductive body having negative charge, the deposition of fouling to the glass main body is prevented and window glass, lens, mirror and the like which are transparent and have excellent field of view can be secured.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which the peeling of a water repellent from glass is suppressed and the water-repelling effect is maintained for a long period of time.
      SOLUTION: Glass is subjected to a surface treatment and then a water repellent is applied on the treated glass. As a concrete method, coating of glass surface, adhesion of a sheet-like ground material or the like is cited, and as a simple method, a coating treatment is exemplified. The surface of glass is coated, and then a water repellent is applied on the surface of the obtained coating. Thereby, the water repellent infiltrates in the surface of the coating. The coating is adhered strongly to the glass, and at the same time, the water repellent is easily fixed in the surface of the coating, and as a result, the water repellent is fixed on the surface of the glass through the coated film, and the water-repelling effect is held for a long period of time.
