    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily correct the space between finger groups without stopping a device even if dimensions in a product group vary during running a product conveyor. SOLUTION: While the finger 2a (2b) running ahead provided in a first chain 3a or second chain 3b, are projected into a product conveyor 44, the drive of a drive means is controlled so that the finger 2a (2b) running behind provided in the first chain 3a or the second chain 3b, are projected into the product conveyor 44 at a position separated by a specified space P equal to a dimension L of a specified number of products 41 arranged. This article grouping device is provided with a space measuring means 7 for measuring a dimension L1 in the running direction of a product group to be grouped and a space correcting means 8 for changing the drive quantity of the drive means so that the specified space P between fingers becomes equal to the valve L1 measured by the space measuring means 7 before the finger 2a (2b) running behind is projected above the product conveyor 44.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely insert a card into a case. SOLUTION: A card laminate inserting method, in which a card laminate 8a formed of cards 8 of the same shape and same size so laminated as to conform to their peripheral edges one another is inserted into a rectangular tray- shaped case 7 with its peripheral wall almost in contact with over the peripheral edges of the cards, comprises a laminating process in which respective cards 8 are disposed on the side outer sections of a slide plate 2 extended in the inclined state from the side outer sections of one side wall 7a of the peripheral wall of the case 7 toward the bottom of the case 7 in the direction orthogonal to a side wall 71 of one side and respective cards 8 are laminated into a deformed laminate 8b to be shifted sideways successively from a lowermost layer toward an uppermost layer, and a sliding process in which the deformed laminate 8b are so slid as to reach an opposite side wall 72 facing opposite to the side wall 71 of one side of the peripheral wall in the direction along the slide plate 2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an article treating device to be stopped in such a state that rear pawls and front pawls are maintained at proper relative positions, by backing up a power source with a capacitor and issuing stop commands to first and second servo motors when a power failure detecting signal is inputted. SOLUTION: When an article treating device is connected to a power source, a microcomputer incorporated in a controller operates, closes the normally opening output contacts of first and second relays 71 and 72, and maintains first and second servo motors 15 and 25 in rotating states. When the difference between the rotational angles of the second and first servo motors 25 and 15 is coincident with a reference angle difference, the microcomputer makes the motors 25 and 15 run at the same speed by judging that the intervals between rear pawls and front pawls are appropriate. When a power failure occurs, the third transistor 533 of a power failure detecting means 53 is turned off and the servo motors 15 and 25 are quickly decelerated and stopped by outputting stop commands from command circuits 92 and 93. Therefore, the rear and front pawls can be suppressed or prevented from being deviated from the appropriate intervals.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the speed of an article transfer processing. SOLUTION: A pusher 2 which travels in the transfer direction at approximately same speed as that of an article is provided in a side of a transfer area 100 of the article 8, and this pusher 2 is so supported as to advance/retreat freely in the width direction of a conveyer 1 between a refuge position where the opposite end part to the article is outside the transfer area 100 and an advance position advanced to inside the transfer area 100. A cam member 4 provided in the upper pat of the pusher 2 is provided with a first cam groove 41 which is fitted with a projection 21 of the pusher 2 and holds the pusher 2 in the refuged position and second cam grooves 42a, 42b which are branched from the first cam groove, fitted with the projection 21, and advance the pusher 2 to the advance position. A switch which responds to a prescribed signal input so as to switch the transfer direction of the projection 21 at the branch part from the first cam groove 41 to the second cam grooves 42a, 42b is an air exhauster which sprays a compressed air for energizing the pusher 2 to the advance position side, to the pusher 2.
