    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial hip joint in which: a metallic spring is widely distributed between an outer cup and an inner cup, thereby easing a received shock better; and wear is decreased, thereby controlling the loosening caused by an abrasion powder.SOLUTION: The artificial hip joint includes: a hemisphere and metallic outer cup that is intruded into an acetabula and in which the inside is a cavity; a hemisphere and metallic inner cup that is intruded in the outer cup and in which the inside is similarly a cavity; a substantially spheroidal metallic artificial head that is intruded into the inside of the inner cup to enable precession having a projection; and a neck following a stem inserted in a thighbone and being stuck in the projection of the artificial head, wherein a streak-like elastic body made of a metal is made to intervene to be distributed between the internal surface of the outer cup and the external surface of the inner cup, the elastic body performs elastic deformation and absorbs a shock when the shock is added from the inner cup to the outer cup or inversely, and a gap is kept between the internal surface of the outer cup and the external surface of the inner cup even when the deformation is the maximum.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an implant made of a titanium alloy which is composed of a laminated molding with a desired shape using a titanium alloy powder having excellent corrosion resistance and high safety.
      SOLUTION: The method for producing an implant made of a titanium alloy by a lamination molding process using a titanium alloy powder includes stages shown by the following (a) to (h): (a) a stage where a base plate is installed on the surface of a molding table provided inside a molding chamber; (b) a stage where the pressure in the molding chamber is reduced; (c) a stage where the base plate is preheated; (d) a stage where a powder layer made of the titanium alloy powder is formed on the surface of the base plate; (e) a stage where the surface temperature of the powder layer is preheated to 420 to 680°C by the emission of an electron beam; (f) a stage where an electron beam is emitted along a scanning path based on three-dimensional CAD data, so as to melt and solidify the powder layer; (g) a stage where the molding table is lowered, so as to newly form a powder layer made of the titanium alloy powder; and (h) a stage where the above (e) to (g) are repeated.
