    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for batchwise producing detergent particles which economizes on water and energy and abbreviate the production step by a nonspray process to achieve the cost reduction of the final product, and furthermore enhances storage stability.
      SOLUTION: This method for batchwise producing detergent particles comprises conducting, in a same one apparatus, the step (i) of mixing (a) an alkylbenzenesulfonic acid, (b) a higher fatty acid, (c) an alkaline substance in an amount more than necessary to neutralize component (a) and component (b), and (d) a necessary amount of water to obtain a neutralized slurry or paste mixture, and the step (ii) of step by step adding a powdered builder to the neutralized mixture obtained in step (i), and mixing and granulating the whole to obtain detergent particles having a water content of 0.1-8 wt.% and containing 1-25 wt.% sodium alkylbenzenesulfonate as the salt of component (b).

      SOLUTION: The method for producing detergent granules having excellent dissolvability comprises the step (i) and the step (ii) continuously performed in the same stirrer. The step (i) is a step to mix (a) an acid precursor of an anionic surfactant with (b) a carbonic acid salt at an (a):(b) molar ratio of 2:1 to 1:2 to form a whipped mixture by the foaming action caused by the neutralization reaction of the component (a) and the component (b), and the step (ii) is a step to add an aluminosilicate and/or silicon dioxide as a pulverizing agent to the whipped mixture at a weight ratio of 1/2 to 2/1 in undried state when the volume of the expanding whipped mixture exceeds about 2 times the volume immediately after the mixing of the component (a) and the component (b), thereby pulverizing and simultaneously granulating the whipped mixture to obtain the detergent granules.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant composition having a high deodorization effect not only to ammonia, trimethylamine, n-butyric acid, hydrogen sulfide, etc., but to methyl mercaptan as well. SOLUTION: This deodorant composition contains 0.0025 to 0.04 wt.% 2- methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (component (1)) and 0.0075 to 0.12 wt.% 5-chloro-2- methyl-4-isothazolin-3-one (component (2)). The composition prepared by making combination use of other deodorant components in addition to the compound (1) and the component (2) is more preferable.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing detergent granules, wherein the degree of neutralization can be controlled to reach a specific range when neutralizing and mixing an acid precursor of an anionic surfactant with an inorganic alkali builder through a non-spraying process, to realize a good solubility and a stable production process.
      SOLUTION: The method for producing the detergent granules comprises (1) a preparation step wherein the acid precursor of the anionic surfactant is mixed with the inorganic alkali builder in an amount required for neutralizing the acid precursor of the anionic surfactant or more so that the degree of neutralization reaches 50-90%, to prepare a paste mixture, (2) a pulverizing step wherein an oil-absorbing fine powder is added to the paste mixture obtained through the preparation step to pulverize the paste mixture and (3) a granulating and sizing step wherein the powder obtained through the pulverizing step is granulated by adding a binder and the obtained particulate is subjected to sizing by adding the oil-absorbing fine powder.
