    • PURPOSE: To perform a precise and linear transmissivity measurement in low level by providing such a constitution as controlling the noise component of an emitted light signal. CONSTITUTION: The emitted light of an infrared light source 62 is passed through an absorbing cell 52 and received by a photoelectric cell 66, in which an electric signal is then generated and transmitted to an amplifier 68 and a gain circuit 69. Namely, an inputted emitted light signal A is amplified and filtered to generate a signal B. This signal is rectified to generate a DC signal C, which is further filtered to generate a constant DC voltage level signal D. A relative DC voltage V shows the emitted light received by a cell 66, and thus steam concentration in the cell 52. The signal A from the cell 66 is a composite signal containing various components. As these components, emitted light from the light source 62, transmissivities of optical parts, or a window and an interference filter, influence of heating of a metal block, reflection within a chamber, and vibration of a bellow are included. The bellows generates a compressed energy fluctuation in the cell 52.

    • PURPOSE: To enable detection down to a low level by a method wherein a pair of galvanic batteries is housed into a single housing to be electrically connected and the oxygen content of a test gas flowing through the batteries by voltages separately generated is displayed by an output voltage signal to maintain higher sensitivity with a longer operation life. CONSTITUTION: Galvanic batteries 10a and 10b and a gas humidifier 46 are sealed into a container 34 filled with an electrolytic solution 40 containing potassium hydroxide KOH. The gas humidifier 46 has a tube 47 playing a role of a barrier to KOH as the internal path. A test gas enters a conduit 44 at an inflow port 42, the conduit 44 is linked to the humidifier 46 and the output of the conduit is linked to an inflow port 50 of a battery 10a via a conduit 48. The battery 10a is linked to an outflow port 52 via a conduit 54, the conduit 54 linked to an inflow port 56 of a battery 10b and an outflow port 58 reaches an outflow link part 60 via a conduit 59. When the test gas passes through the battery 10a, oxygen molecules are removed from the test gas and an equivalent noise signal is generated instead of galvanic action when the test gas passes through the battery 10b, thereby enabling detection down to a low level at a higher sensitivity with a longer operation life.
