    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support system for placing a sheet pile capable of highly accurately placing a sheet pile to a specified position by solving the following problem that the sheet pile cannot be placed to a specified position due to the interference of the sheet pile with adjacent sheet piles when new sheet piles are sequentially placed adjacently to the existing sheet pile by fitting joints to each other.
      SOLUTION: Two-dimensional plane coordinates of a reference point for a new steel sheet pile 12c are calculated by an arithmetic unit based on detection data of an automatic tracking optical wave range/angle measuring instrument 1 detecting reflection light from a single reflection body 4 mounted to a top edge of the new steel sheet pile 12c, whereby two-dimensional plane coordinates of a reference point for an existing steel sheet pile 12b adjacent to the steel sheet pile 12c are stored in the arithmetic unit. Based on the comparison of the two of the two-dimensional plane coordinates, index data for a targeted placing position of the steel sheet pile 12c on the two-dimensional plane are calculated, and then the index data are displayed in real time on a monitor placed in an operator chamber 7 in a crane 6 to which a vibratory hammer 8 is suspended.
