    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and highly functionalize an optical pickup (OP) for CD/DVD/BD by organizing/reconstructing a fundamental architecture of the OP and increasing accuracy of computer simulation and to provide a medical optical head mechanism by applying an OP technology to lesion diagnostics/operation. SOLUTION: Organizing/reconstructing of the OP architecture is performed by reconsidering problems of constituents. As a result, optical disks are organized in a CD/DVD having 0.6 mm protective layer thickness and a BD having 0.1 mm protective layer thickness and two light sources having 650 nm and 405 nm wavelengths are employed. A lens is made common by taking measures for canceling a side lobe of an optical beam to adopt a single OP. Interference between tracks and between codes of the same track is corrected by fine PD array for receiving light and BD is enhanced (EBD) to increase recording capacity. Focusing the fact that a spot is three-dimensionally narrowed in the OP, the OP technology is applied to lesion diagnostics/operation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

By introducing electrodeless circular motion, the efficiency of a PDP is improved from 0.3% to 1% or higher, furthermore, the life of the PDF is prolonged from 50,000 hours to 200,000 hours.
