    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fruit carrying conveyor for sorting and discharging fully ripened fruits easy to be bruised such as fruits to be agricultural products from a sorting machine or receiving dropped and discharged fruits not to be damaged and carrying the fruits.
      SOLUTION: In this conveyor, a fastener A is mounted at a prescribed position on an upper surface of the carrying conveyor 11 wound around a conveyor machine frame, and a fastener B is mounted at a prescribed position of a joining surface of a cushion mat material 13 wrapping a low repulsive foaming material having prescribed thickness by a cloth material having softness and comfortable feeling to the skin and the upper surface of the conveyor 11 of the cushion mat material 13 by width and length to cover entire periphery of the upper surface of the carrying conveyor 11. A low repulsive cushion mat is detachably mounted on the entire periphery of the conveyor carrying surface to prevent supply shock and rolling of the fruits.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for non-invasively determining the sex of each of a large number of silkworm pupae in a short period of time without damaging them in determination work, as assortment is performed by determining the sexes of two kinds of pure breeds to obtain silkworms of a crossbred F1 having a high cocoon yield. SOLUTION: A light beam is projected on the living body of a silkworm pupa by using a light projection means to receive transmitted light coming out of the body of the silkworm pupa by a light receiving means. The transmitted light received is guided through optical fiber to a spectral separation means to be spectrally separated. A spectrum thus obtained is analyzed to digitize light data on a specific waveband. In order to separate females from males, the digitized data are compared with a previously set threshold to output either a female signal or a male one for assortment. Silkworm pupae are one by one separately transferred to an inspection position by using a transfer means, and light is projected onto the inspection position while transmitted light is received.
