摘要： PURPOSE: To provide the subject device acting so as to pull the yarn engaging with the side surface of a yarn feed member only when the side surface is under tension on being required by the needle, and capable of providing rapid response. CONSTITUTION: A yarn is sent through an inlet yarn guide 16, a first intermediate yarn guide 20, a yarn feed member 4, a second intermediate yarn guide, a third intermediate yarn guide 34 and the like, from the outlet yarn guide 36 to a needle. The yarn feed member 4 has a side surface 40 for pulling the yarn so as to engage the surface with the yarn when the yarn feed member 4 is under tension on being required by the needle. When the side surface 40 has a ring-like region 42 not having cylindrical shape but having diameters increasing upward, the speed of response is improved.

摘要： PURPOSE: To make possible to perform smooth needle selection even in the case where knitting machine is driven at a high speed by providing a supplementary apparatus with an upper shoulder of a jack and lower sloping surfaces of an operative cam. CONSTITUTION: This system has a supplementary apparatus having the following features. When one of selector jacks 80 rises, the selector jack 80 and an operative cam 44 are engaged with each other, and the jack 80 is rotated and thereby it is selected. Further, one of the operative cams 44 has a first main track 132 for receiving the butt 108 of a middle jack 104 and a second main track 134 along which the butt 110 of a slider 114 moves. The second main track 134 has a continuous lower horizontal part 134a, and when the slider 114 is not being raised in advance by the vertical upward motion of the middle jack 104, a slider butt 116 moves on the horizontal part 134a. A pair of electronic controls 40 are placed on each operative cam 44 so that each selector jack 80 is not selected, or selected one or two times during it is engaged with the operative cam 44.
