摘要： PURPOSE: To enhance sealing effect an flight performance by supporting an elastomer member including a lip in resilient abutment on a penetrator on the rear portion of a shoe in an arrow projectile and molding the elastomer member over the shoe and an insert. CONSTITUTION: An arrow projectile has an uranium penetrator 1 and a shoe 2 engaged at a threaded part 3. A sealing device seals the penetrator 1 and the shoe 2 from combustion gas and supports an elastomer member 4 extending from the penetrator 1 to the belt 5 of the shoe 2 at the rear portion thereof. The elastomer member 4 is provided with a lip 6 in resilient abutment on the penetrator 1 and molded over the shoe 2 and an insert engaged therein. According to the structure, the problem that the elastomer 4 remains on the penetrator 1 is eliminated and the flight track of the penetrator 1 is prevented from being disturbed.

摘要： PURPOSE: To enable execution of floating fire and to enhance the efficiency of firing of a firearm by providing an ammunition chamber which is located between a breech and a barrel and rotates around the axis of rotation of the ammunition chamber and an ammunition supply means which is supported by the breech and a rear box and supplies ammunition to the ammunition chamber. CONSTITUTION: An ammunition chamber 20 rotates around the axis of a longitudinal shaft 22 extending in parallel to a barrel 10 and the opposite end parts in the axial direction are supported by a breech 16 and a sleeve support 14 respectively. An ammunition supply means is provided in the rear of the breech 16 and it comprises an ammunition holding star 28, an insertion carriage 32 and a feed screw 34. The ammunition holding star 28 is supported by a rotating shaft 30 extending in parallel to the barrel 10, while the insertion carriage 32 conducts reciprocating linear motion parallel to the barrel 10 with the rotation of the feed screw 34. The breech 16, the barrel 10, the ammunition chamber 20 and the ammunition supply means are all supported on a common rigid structure as a part of a reaction part, and therefore floating fire wherein ammunition is fired even before the reaction part returns to a position of firing of the ammunition is enabled.

摘要： PURPOSE: To dispose a middle caliber gun on an armored motorcar and prevent an operation from being troubled even when a loading apparatus is demounted during recoiling of the gun, by fixing a supply apparatus to a recoiling body of the gun, and transferring the bullet through rotation from a supply station to a loading station. CONSTITUTION: In a supply system where a supply apparatus 16 is fixed to a recoiling body, there are provided a supply station A where new bullets are arranged in a line on an axis in parallel to a trunnion axis X-X of a gun, and a loading station C where new bullets are arranged in a line on an axis of a chamber 1. These stations A, C cross each other forming an angle where pivot angles of the chamber are compensated each other, and there is provided means 40 for transferring the bullets from the supply station A to the loading station C through rotation of the bullet. The gun is generally mounted on a support frame of the gun, and the chamber 1 is rotated forming substantially 30 deg. with respect to an axis perpendicular to both of the trunnion axis X-X of the gun and a shaft of a barrel 2.

摘要： PURPOSE: To prevent gas leakage upon crack development by securing a mechanical coupling between an annular rear portion in contact with a rear seal fixed to a sabot and supported with an annular groove of the sabot and the rear seal in accordance with similarity of a shape in a sealing band for the sabot of an arrow-type projectile. CONSTITUTION: An arrow-type projectile 1 includes a sabot 2 and a penetrator 3 disposed in the sabot. The sabot 2 comprises a plurality of peripherally divided members and is integrally held with a front hoop 4 and a seal band 5. The hoop 4 and the seal band 5 are fitted into annular grooves 9, 10 formed in the sabot 2. A rear seal 6 serves as a seal for a joint surface between the respective members of the sabot 2, and also serves as a seal between the sabot 2 and the penetrator 3. Hereby, propulsion gas is prevented from invading between the rear seal 6 and the seal band 5 owing to a contact between the rear seal 6 and the annular groove 9, and hence gas upon any crack being developed is prevented from leaking.
