    • PURPOSE:To obtain a device that can form thread efficiently by dividing a die in the radial direction and setting a work to the die by opening and closing of them in a thread forming device of transfer system. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical die 3 on which objective thread is cut is attached to a chuck 11. When a set button is depressed, the chuck 11, i.e. die 3, is opened. A cap-shaped work 6 is then placed on the center of the die 3. That is detected by a detector, and by operation of the detector, the chuck 11, i.e. the die 3, is closed and the work 6 is set. As negative clearance is given to the die 3 and work 6, the work is so set that it is fastened by the die 3. When a forming start button is depressed, a pressing roller 26 descends and stops at a position corresponding to the starting end of the thread on the die 3. Then, the pressing ring 26a presses the work 6 against the die 3 and the die 3 rotates with the chuck 11. At the same time, a pressing device 20 is raised, and the thread on the die 3 is transferred to the work 6.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a device that can form threads efficiently in a thread forming device of a transfer system by holding a work with a die attached to the main rotation shaft and a holding device that holds an object allowing advance, retreat and rotation with respect to the main shaft. CONSTITUTION:A die 4 on which a standard thread corresponding to the objective thread is cut is attached to the main rotation shaft 21. When a work 3 is placed on a holding device 10 and the starting button is depressed, the work 3 is raised and set to the die 4. Since the work 3 is continually pressed by the die 4, setting becomes stable. Accordingly, the work does not change its position during working and uniform thread can be formed. When completion of setting is detected, a pressing device 30 advances both pressing rollers 33 to press the work 3 against the starting end of thread groove of the die 4. Then, the shaft 21 rotates, and the work 3 rotates together with the die 4, and the internal thread that threadably engages the external thread of the die 4 is formed successively on the inner peripheral face.

    • PURPOSE:To form uniform threads on a cylindrical work with a simple device by fitting and fixing the cylindrical work to a die having been inscribed with desired threads, and moving a pressing member while pressing the same to the work thereby transferring the threads of the revolving die to the work. CONSTITUTION:In forming threads to a cylindrical work such as pipe, the cylindrical work 8 is fitted onto a die 5 fixed to the revolving shaft of a gear box 1 and having been inscribed with desired threads and is fixed by means of a bolt 7. A pressing member 6 which is freely rotatively held to the end of a tool rest 3 mounted to a moving table 3a and is pressed in the vertical directions by a cylinder 4 is pressed to the work 8 along said threads and while the die 5 is being rotated, the pressing member 6 is moved by a screw shaft 2, whereby the threads of the die 5 are transferred to the work 8 and the threads are thus formed. This method does not require stringent mechanical accuracy or the like, is suited for the formation of the threads for which the evenness of shapes is required and is able to form threads on the inside surface of a pipe as well.
