    • PURPOSE:To control flexibly the loss probabilty on types of calls, by providing a random switch between a call source and a processing system and switching the switch with a probability giving the loss probability on types of calls. CONSTITUTION:The random switch Si is provided between plural call sources C1 (i=1-n) having different call generating stages and coding speeds and a processing system SW comprising an exchange processing multiply lots of kinds of calls generated from the call sources, a transmitting terminal station and digital lines. Let a probability being off when a call is applied to a switch S1 from the call source Ci be ri and the probability being on be 1-ri. A specified factor lambdai of the arrival stage of the call from the call source Ci changes to lambdai' with the effect of the sampling of the switch Si. Let the loss probability when the inputted call of the specified factor lambdai' accesses the system SW of an output line number S be bi', the loss probability from the call source Ci is ri+bi'. All the loss probabilities of the call source Ci are controlled to a fixed reference value or below by controlling the probability ri of on/off of the switch Si.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the noise resistance as well as to simplify a control system, by using the light also to a channel driving system. CONSTITUTION:The voice of a subscriber undergoes modulation of amplitude with a DAM modulator AM at a designated time slot after passing through a subscriber line and a subscriber circuit and is sent to an optical switch network via a light emitter LE. The optical PAM signal given from the emitter LE is transmitted through many optical fibers and then focused and multiplexed through an optical lens 2. This optical signal is converted into an electric signal by a light receiver LR and then divided into (n) directions for each (m) time slots via a time-division type distributor 3. The RAM pulses of the (m) time slots are simultaneously transmitted to (m) pieces of optical fibers by an electricity-light distributor 20. While one of (m) pieces of optical fibers is designated by the demodulating gate designating information DMGINF, and only the output of the designated optical fiber is restored to an audio signal.
