    • PURPOSE:To uniformly generate heat in a nozzle body to prevent solidification of a molten steel by combining high resistance refractories, insulating refractories and resistance exhothermic refractories in such a manner that the current from the solderless electrode disposed to the upper part of the nozzle body does not bypass the two poles thereof. CONSTITUTION:This electrical heating nozzle 1 is made into inside and outside two-layered structure. The parts from an upper port 2 to the top of a molten steel outflow port 3 only in the angle position at each end of one diameter of the nozzle body are made of the insulating refractories 12, 12 from the inside to the outside surface. Only the refractories of the outside layer only in the specified width area on both sides of therespective insulating refractories are substd. with the high resistance refractories 11, 11. The resistance exhothermic refractories 10, 10', therefore, face each other with the insulating refractories 12, 12 in-between and are united and electrically connected to each other at the bottom end of the nozzle where the insulating refractories 12 and the high resistance refractories 11 do not exist. A current course 7 flows mainly in the resistance exhothermic refractories 10' of the inside layer. This method is thus effective for an increase in calorific value and heat accumulation.

    • PURPOSE:To uniformly generate heat in a nozzle body to prevent solidification of a molten steel by disposing solderles electrodes in two upper and lower stages near the upper port of the nozzle body and combining high resistance refractories with resistance exhothermic refractories of an outside periphery and inside periphery so that the currents from the solderless electrodes do not bypass the two poles thereof. CONSTITUTION:This electrical heating nozzle 1 is made into inside and outside two-layered structure consisting of the resistance exhothermic refractories 10', 10 and the layer of the high resistance refractories 11 is provided between the resistance exhothermic refractories 10' and 10 of the inside and outside layer only in the area from the upper port 2 to a molten steel outflow port 3. An annular flange part which parts the resistance exhothermic refractories 10 of the outside layer and encloses the resistance exhothermic refractories 10' of the inside layer is further formed in the uppermost part of the high resistance refractories 11. The outside layer resistance exhothermic refractories 10 and inside layer resistance exhothermic refractories 10' above and below the flange part of the high resistance refractories 11 are, therefore, conducted through the inside layer resistance exhothermic refractories 10'. A current course 7 is obtd. by mounting the solderless electrodes 5, 5 respectively to the top and bottom of the flange part of the high resistance refractories 11. The heat is thus generated uniformly in the nozzle body.
