    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic device capable of detecting the matching of a toner hopper and a developing unit without using a plurality of complicated components which may cause cost increase. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic device is provided with one or more printing parts constituted of: a photoreceptor 8; an electrifier 6 for electrifying the surface of the photoreceptor; an exposure optical part for scanning/exposing the electrified surface of the photoreceptor with laser light; a developing unit 2 for developing the scanned/exposed image area; a toner hopper 1 for replenishing the toner to the developing unit; and a transfer unit for transferring the developed image to a recording member. The developing unit 2 and the toner hopper 1 can be individually attached/detached, and the plurality of toner hoppers and developing units can be replaced in accordance with toner color in use. Electric signal outputting means are separately installed in the developing unit and the toner hopper, and the matching of the toner hopper and the developing unit is detected according to respective electric signals.
