    • PURPOSE:A material mainly containing starch is made sticky to form a base for pelleted rice cake and the base is heated with micro waves, thus facilitating the water control of the base and producing pelletted rice cake of good texture with reduced failure in production. CONSTITUTION:To 100 parts of the main material of starch as glutinous or unglytinous rice, waxy starch, wheat flour, etc., are added 0-100 parts of the ingredient as peanut, green pea, fish and shell, meat, etc., and 0-30 parts of seasoning as saccharide, flavor, or milk powder, and they are kneaded with a steam kneader or extruder to form the base sheet, which is cut with cutter into pellets measuring 5X5X5-50X50X50mm. Then, the pellets are dried from 30-55% water content to 10-25% or not dried and heated with micro waves of 2450MHz and 10kW for about 2-5min in the dried pellets and for about 6min in the undried pellets and desirably heated for more than 2min until mark the grid pattern is marked on the pellets and they smell good. The base sheet may be subjected to heating with micro waves in the form of blocks measuring 400X500X20mm without being cut into pellets.
