    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing method of an optical connector boot in which positional shift and falling off are prevented, and also to provide an optical connector manufactured by using the same.
      SOLUTION: The optical connector 110A is composed of: a housing 20; an MT ferrule 30, an optical connector boot 100A; and an annular fixing member 101. In this optical connector 110A, the optical connector boot 100A is mounted on the rear side of the housing 20 in which the MT ferrule 30 with the optical fiber fixed is stored, and the annular fixing member 101 is mounted thereon that corresponds to the outer shape of the optical connector boot 100A. As a result, this prevents positional shift and falling off of the optical connector boot caused by a lateral force, maintains the original function of the optical connector boot for protecting an optical fiber, and thereby solves problems such as increase in optical transmission loss which is due to direct stress imparted to the optical fiber by the positional shift and falling off of the optical connector boot.
