    • PURPOSE:To offer a method of adhering favorably crosslinked polyolefin articles to each other or that of adhering favorably a polyolefin article which is not crosslinked and the crosslinked polyolefin article to each other, by a method wherein a foamed layer is provided on the surface of an article to be stuck and adhesive treatment is performed on the foam layer. CONSTITUTION:As for a foam of a foamed layer in a surface layer, it is desirable that it is an open cell and when a cell wall is thick, the foam, for example, is kept collapsed with a gold brush. As for the foamed layer, it is obtained by foaming alpha olefin, for example, a homopolymer and copolymer group such as ethylene, propylene, 1-butene, 4-methylpentene-1, the homopolymer and copolymer group of the alpha olefin containing halogen or carbonic acid or its dervative or the polyolefin such as the copolymer group of the alpha olefin and the carbonic acid or its derivative and a crosslinked material of those by making use of a chemical foaming agent and physical foaming agent. As for loadings of a foaming agent, an extent of 0.5-15wt part is appropriate.

    • PURPOSE:To offer a method of adhering favorably crosslinked polyolefin articles to each other or that of adhering favorably a polyolefin article which is not crosslinked and the crosslinked polyolefin article to each other, by a method wherein a resin layer with which a filler has been compounded is provided on a crosslinked polyolefin surface layer of an article to be stuck, to which adhesion treatment is applied after the same has been made into porous state by removing the filler. CONSTITUTION:A resin layer with which a filler has been compounded is provided on the surface layer of a crosslinked polyolefin article to be stuck and after treatment has been applied to the resin layer by making the same porous by removing the filler, an adhesive agent is made to interpose between materials to be stuck, holes are filled with the adhesive agent by applying pressure to the resin layer for an appropriate period of time, through anchorage effect of which strong adhesion is achieved. As for the filler, one whose solubility of a solvent medium differs from that of the polyolefin to some extent, for example, a rubber group such as natural rubber, powder of synthetic resin such as polyvinyl chloride and acrylic resin, mineral fillers such as clay, talc, mica and calcium carbonate and powder of metals such as aluminum, copper and iron are available.

    • PURPOSE:To enable to obtain a pipe connection with enough strength by a structure wherein a non-crosslinkable polyolefin skin layer is formed on a pipe main body and, after that, unsaturated organic silane compound and organic peroxide are coated on the skin layer. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a skin layer S is formed out of non-crosslinkable polyolefin P2 extruded from an extruder 7 on a pipe main body R. Secondly, unsaturated organic silane compound and organic peroxide, both in the state of suitable solutions, are coated on said formed skin layer S. Said application of the non-crosslinkable polyolefin skin layer S on the pipe main body R prevents die waste from developing. The following coating of unsaturated organic silane compound and organic peroxide on the skin layer S in order to turn non-crosslinkable skin layer into water crosslinkable skin layer by heating causes the skin layer S to crosslink by water at an arbitrary time point before and after the connection of pipes, resulting in enabling to continuously produce a water crosslinkable polyolefin pipe by extrusion over a long period of time. The obtained pipes can realize a pipe connection with high compressive strength even when connected by bonding.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the correction of a resistance by using inadequate temperature coefficient when correcting a measured values of the resistance using temperature coefficients by measuring the temperature in a simulated body of an object under measurement which is shut off from atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:To a connector 21 of a cable having conductors 111, 112...11n to be measured is fitted a connector 38 to which are connected a required number of lead wire bundles 37 for measurement of insulating resistance. A unit 8 for measuring the insulating resistance impresses a test voltage V to the conductor 111 commanded by a conductor selecting unit 6 of a computer 5 and measures the current I flowing in the insulator of the conductor 111 to send it to the computer 5. The computer 5 sends from a temperature coefficient memory means 47 to an arithmetic unit 58 the temperature coefficient K of the resistance of the insulator based on the temperature of the simulated body 7 sent from the unit 6, computes (V/I)XK and displays it at 59. The insulating resistance of each of the conductors 112-11n is continuously measured by sequentially selecting the conductors. This make it possible to correct the resistances based on the suitable temperature coefficients by virtue of the results of measurement of the simulated body 7 of the cable 1.
