    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate fertilizer effects for a long period without causing barrier to growth of ground cover while hardly causing reduction of the fertilizer applied thereto at mowing of the ground cover by the inhalation by a mower or the like in the fertilization when tending and/or growing the ground cover.
      SOLUTION: The method of fertilizing to the vegetation including the ground cover and a water-retaining body comprises applying the fertilizer on the upmost part of the water-retaining body so as to form a layer, and applying the fertilizer to the water-retaining body so as to be vertical. The fertilizer contains a granular slow-acting fertilizer containing ≥70 mass% granules having ≥0.5 mm particle diameters, and having ≤2 mm maximum particle diameter.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated granular material which is prevented from floating on a water surface in the application, does not adversely affect the elution rate of biological active substance after long storage and produces small amount of dust in the operation.
      SOLUTION: The coated granular material is a biological active substance granular material which has a coating layer comprising a resin composition. The coated granular material is formed by holding metallic salt of fatty acid or a metallic salt of the fatty acid and inorganic power on the surface of the coating layer. The metallic salt of the fatty acid is a 8-22C metallic salt of the fatty acid having ≥100°C melting point or the mixture thereof and the ratio of the metallic salt of the fatty acid or the mixture thereof to the whole coated granular material is preferably 0.01-0.2 wt.%. The ratio of the inorganic powder to the whole coated granular material is preferably 0.01-0.3 wt.%.
