    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound light emitting device of high efficiency that effectively utilizes a loss amount which is not taken out in the front face direction of the device.
      SOLUTION: This compound light emitting device is provided with a support substrate, a first light emitting part where a first electrode, a light emitting medium, and a second electrode are laminated in this order on the support substrate, and with a second light emitting part composed of a fluorescent film 10 positioned in directions X, Y, different at least from the direction A where the light is taken out with respect to a light emitting medium 6, and in which the light emitting medium 6 emits light at the first light emitting part by the supply of an electric current between the first electrode 4 and the second electrode 8, and in which at the second light emitting part, the fluorescent film 10 absorbs light from the light emitting medium 6 and then emits the light.
