    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metal molding consisting of a light metal such as Al or Mg and having a minute void inside. SOLUTION: A preparatory molding 4, 14 is molded by burying a second metal 3 having a lower melting-point than a first metal in a fine material 2, 13 including the first metal. The preparatory molding 4, 14 is heated at a higher temperature than the melting point of the first metal to melt the second metal, so that a metal molding 6, 16 having the void 5, 15 inside is molded. The metal molding 6, 16 is arranged in a cavity 10 of a mold 8, and a molten third metal is poured, thereby molding a metal insert molding 11, 18 in which the metal molding 6, 16 is cast-in with the third metal 12. The preparatory molding 4, 14 is arranged in the cavity 10 of the mold 8, and heated after the molten third metal having a melting point lower than that of the first metal and higher than that of the second metal is poured.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metallic member which has fine cavities with a complicated shape therein, regardless of metal types having different ductility. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method comprises the steps of: injecting a mixture 5 containing a powder of a second metal and a binder from a nozzle 4 onto a substrate 1 made of a first metal having a higher melting point than the second metal has, to prepare a first formed article 2; embedding the formed article 2 prepared on the substrate 1, into the first metal 9 to prepare a second formed article 10 containing the formed article 2; and heating the formed article 10 at a temperature between the melting points of the first metal and the second metal, to melt the second metal and form the cavity 12 in a region which has been occupied by the formed article 2. The first metal is Fe or stainless steel, and the second metal is Cu. The manufacturing method also comprises: heating the formed article 10 to a temperature lower than the melting point of the second metal but higher than the temperature capable of removing the binder, to remove the binder; and then heating it at a temperature between the melting points of the first metal and the second metal.
