    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the mechanical strength of a welded part formed in the center part of a round brush element. SOLUTION: A small-diameter rod body 3a of a welding horn 3 is compulsorily pushed into the center part of a fiber bundle 1 pushing aside a fiber material. At the same time, the fiber bundle 1 is orthogonally pushed outward to the surroundings on the body tip face of the welding horn 3. The air discharged from the air hole 3a of the welding horn 3 is heated to 80-120°C. Because of this, the fiber bundle 1 is pushed outward and molded, and is preheated to about 100°C prior to welding. By this preheating, the moldability of the fiber bundle 1 becomes good in spite of the thick fiber bundle 1, and the fiber bundle 1 can be molded as it remains orthogonally opened to the surroundings without a large fiber press even on the horn tip face of a relatively small diameter. Also, since welding can be done by the small power welding horn, excess heating can be prevented, the quality of the welded part can be finished to the quality equivalent to a nylon yarn, and its mechanical strength can be drastically raised. Herein the first bosses 17 of the one half-body 10 are each opposed to a space between the first bosses 17 of the other half-body 10, and both the half-bodies 10 are connected together by a connection bolt penetrating through the first boss 17.
