    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for decomposing dioxins, with which a decomposition treatment is performed at a comparatively low temperature, a treatment apparatus and treatment work are simplified, and a treatment cost is reduced.
      SOLUTION: In the method for decomposing the dioxins being an organochlorine compounds, the dioxins are irradiated with far-infrared rays so as to decompose the contained dioxins, while heating the dioxins. The dioxins decomposition apparatus for decomposing the dioxins being the organochlorine compounds is provided with: an apparatus body having a storage part to store the dioxins; an irradiation part where the storage part of the apparatus body is irradiated with the far infrared rays; and a heating part for heating at least one of the storage part and the irradiation part.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire fighting water collecting apparatus capable of easily pumping underground water stored deep underground, with simple constitution.
      SOLUTION: This fire fighting water collecting apparatus is provided with a well 10 for storing underground water inside; a water collecting means 11 for collecting underground water stored in the well 10; and a pump 20 for pumping the stored underground water. The pump 20 is provided with a cylinder body 21 serving as a flow passage of underground water, a plurality of openable/closable valves 22 provided inside the cylinder body 21, and operating parts 23, 24 for opening/closing the valves 22 and moving them up and down. A hole part 21a for allowing the underground water stored in the well 10, to flow into the cylinder body 21 is formed in the lower part of the cylinder body 21. The valves 22 are provided in a plurality of stages above the hole part 21a, and while closing or opening an opening of the cylinder body 21 using a cover body 22b, the valves are moved up and down to pump the underground water.
