    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microbubble generation apparatus and a microbubble generating method for generating many microbubbles.
      SOLUTION: The microbubble generation apparatus is provided with tubular, vertically extended sand elevation pipes 3, and a sand elevation blower 4 disposed at a lower port side of the pipes 3 for supplying particulate activated carbon 7a, water and air flowing upward in the sand elevation pipes 3. By supplying air into the sand elevation pipes 3 from the sand elevation blower 4, the particulate activated carbon 7a and water are sucked up from the lower ports of the sand elevation pipes 3, and the air is finely crushed by collision with the particulate activated carbon 7a to generate microbubbles.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder activated carbon feeder capable of smoothly feeding water-adding powder activated carbon from feeding rotors and, further, enhancing fluidity of the water-adding powder activated carbon without making the rotation of a pair of the feeding rotors impossible.
      SOLUTION: The feeder is provided with a hopper 1 to which the water-adding powder activated carbon is stored, a rake 2 which is arranged in the hopper 1 and prevents the caking of the powder activated carbon, a casing 8 disposed under the hopper 1 and a pair of the feeding rotors 6 which are arranged freely rotatably in the casing 8 and have roughened surfaces. Further, an upper scraper and a lower scraper which come into contact with the surfaces of a pair of the feeding rotors 6 are arranged in the casing 8. In order to enhance the fluidity of the powder activated carbon, it is preferable that an air injection part for blowing compressed air into a powder activated carbon layer is disposed on a throttle part 1a of the hopper or the rake 2 is arranged on the throttle part 1a in proximity to the bottom surface of the hopper 1.

      SOLUTION: This filtration apparatus is provided with a filtration tank (1) into which original water is made to flow, a partition wall (2) for dividing the tank (1) into a supply part (4) having an original water inflow port (3) and a discharge part (6) having a backward washing water discharging port (5), a water collecting member (8) inclined downward toward the bottom surface of the tank (1), a filtering layer (9) consisting of the filter medium which is piled on the member (8) and the surface of which is positioned on the bottom end of the wall (2) and a backward washing means for backward washing the filter medium. The member (8) is composed of a wedged wire type water collecting plate (20). A water collecting box (22) is arranged behind the member (8). The backward washing means is constituted so that an airlift pipe (23) having a filter medium sucking port (23a) embedded in the layer (9) on the part (4) side and a filter medium discharging port (23b) faced to the part (6) side is arranged, the end part of an air supply pipe (25) for jetting air is faced to the port (23a) and a backward washing water supply part (28) having a backward washing water nozzle (29) is arranged below the port (23a).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activated carbon adsorption system where the whole of an adsorption layer in an adsorption tank is sufficiently stirred and mixed with washing water so that SS (suspended solid) is removed and can be exhausted to the outside, and washing upon the extraction of waste carbon and the use of new carbon can be easily performed.
      SOLUTION: In the activated carbon adsorption system 1, raw water is fed from the upper part to an adsorption tank 2. Treated water passed through an activated carbon adsorption layer 3, from which chemical substance has been adsorbed away, is discharged from a catchment box 6 in the bottom part to the outside. The upper part in the adsorption tank 2 is divided into a raw water feed part A and a washing water exhaust part B with a partition plate 7 provided with small holes 8 and dipped into the raw water 4. The upper part of the raw water feed part A is provided with a clear water feed tube 9, and the upper part thereof is provided with an activated carbon charge port 10, an activated carbon water addition apparatus 11 or the like. On the side of the washing water exhaust part B, an air lift pump 12, in which an adsorption material suction port 12a is buried at the lower part in the adsorption layer 3 and an adsorption material discharge port 12b is opened to the side of the feed part A at a position on the raw water in the partition plate, and a waste carbon extracting tube 15 connected to the position near the water face of the pump so as to be freely openable/closable are provided. The upper part of the exhaust part B is provided with a washing water drain tube 16 and a waste water trough 17.
