    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replacing construction method to a multi-functional support in an existing bridge for facilitating work, by forming a new support by placing high strength concrete, after removing a steel support plate.
      SOLUTION: This replacing construction method comprises processes of: removing an existing support plate support 5 by jacking up an existing girder 3; assembling a form on an upper surface of a pier 2 after removing the support plate support 5; forming the new support by removing the form after hardening by placing the high strength concrete bin the form; and removing a jack 10 by jacking down the existing girder 3 until it is supported by the new support.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismically retrofitting structure which makes use of an earthquake resistant structure of existing bridge piers, and can reduce horizontal force when horizontal moment more than proof stress of the existing bridge piers occurs.
      SOLUTION: The existing bridge 1 is constituted of the bridge piers 3 as lower structures erected between abutments 2, and a bridge girder 4 as a superstructure borne by the bridge piers 3. The seismically retrofitting structure is provided for the existing bridge, and comprised of connecting means for connecting between the abutment 2 and each bridge pier 3, and between the bridge piers 3 adjacent to each other by means of connecting members 8 which are kept sagging.
