    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening a therapeutic agent of cardiac failure by using a heart failure model zebra fish, and to provide a method for identifying the same.
      SOLUTION: This method for selecting a candidate substance of the therapeutic agent of cardiac failure comprises each of the processes of administering a test substance to the zebra fish; showing the cardiac failure symptoms induced by tacrolimus hydrate; measuring the expression of a PECI (peroxysome D3,D2-enoyl-CoA isomerase) gene, when the expression of the PECI gene is inhibited when the test substance is administered, as compared with that when the test substance is not administered; and selecting the test substance as the candidate substanceo of the therapeutic agent for cardiac failure. The method is useful as the screening of therapeutic agent for cardiac failure that uses cardiac failure model zebra fish.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems relating to detection accuracy deterioration in a conventional hierarchical search method, thereby securing high detection accuracy regardless of image quality, and to realize motion search in each layer in a small memory unit which used to cause increase in a design cost and a hardware size as each layer requires a different constitution. SOLUTION: In addition to a predictive block candidate in an entire search region, an inner search region is set, which is a region presumed as having high possibility of presence in the search region, and the predictive block candidate is detected in the inner search region. The inner search region is dynamically changed based on statistical analysis of past motion detection results. Furthermore, extended predictive blocks corresponding to a plurality of extended template blocks with different shapes/sizes are detected in a layer, and one from the predictive block candidates is selected in the motion search in a succeeding layer so that the predictive block of an original template block before extension is detected.
