    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily switch between a normal brake mode and a parking brake mode.
      SOLUTION: Engagement of a stopper 19 provided on a lever 14 with a first locking part 21 provided on a switching member 18 provides the normal brake mode. When the lever 14 is pivotally moved counterclockwise, a brake member 1 is pivotally moved clockwise via an operation wire 17 and one end 8 is engaged with an external surface of a wheel 4 to apply the brake. When the switching member 18 is pivotally moved clockwise, the lever 14 is pivotally moved clockwise by energizing force of a tension spring 12 transmitted via the operation wire 17. Also the brake member 1 is pivotally moved counterclockwise by force of the spring 12 and the other end 10 is engaged among a plurality of engagement parts provided on the wheel 4 to apply the parking brake. In the parking brake mode, the stopper 19 is engaged with a second locking part 22 to prevent the lever 14 from being pivotally moved counterclockwise.
