    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for maintenance of an air conditioner by an approach form new aspect different from a viewpoint for suppressing attachment of fungi.SOLUTION: A worker, as preparation work before maintenance, removes components of an air conditioner 2 such as a decorative panel 10, a filter, a fan 18, and a drain pan. Then, fungi are removed from a heat exchanger 20 in a state where attached fungi are propagated due to operation of the air conditioner 2. Further, the heat exchanger after the fungi are removed therefrom is dried. Then, by applying treatment to maintain a dried state to the heat exchanger 20, formation of living environment of fungi in the heat exchanger 20 is inhibited.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purifying technique which enables the execution of purification and regeneration without an increase in the resistance of the passage. SOLUTION: A air-cleaning apparatus 10 consists of a cylindrical body 13, a wet purifying section 20 which is included in the cylindrical body 13 and purifies air with an adsorbing solution, and a dry purifying section 40 which is included in the cylindrical body 13 and purifies the air having been treated in the wet purifying section 20 by use of a filter 41 composed of a solid purifying material. Contaminated air is purified first in the wet purifying section and then in the dry purifying section to remove remaining contaminants. Because, in the dry purifying section, the adsorbing solution is circulated and subjected to separation of contaminants in a separator, regeneration of the adsorbing solution can be carried out in parallel with purification. In the dry purifying section, a hydrated magnesium silicate clay mineral effects the regeneration together with purification.
