    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a separator for an alkaline battery manufacturing accurately and at high speed the separator for the alkaline battery by accurately coating an appropriate amount of water when the bottom of the separator for the alkaline battery is formed and in online manufacturing, or in the main manufacturing line process manufacturing the alkaline battery, and to provide the alkaline battery having the separator for the alkaline battery manufactured by the method for manufacturing the separator for the alkaline battery.
      SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the separator for the alkaline battery includes the steps of: fitting a cylindrical member 50 to a plurality of mandrels 40 equally divided in a rotary dial 30 and capable of rotating on a center shaft; applying water to the peripheral surface on the one end of the cylindrical member 50; and forming a bottom by pressing the end of the cylindrical member 50 on the water applied side against a bottom forming mold 70 heated at the prescribed temperature for sealing.
