    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint wherein a connection angle between pipes to be interconnected and displacement in an axial direction is absorbed, and breakage of a pipe and a joint is prevented, even when unequal settlement and an earthquake occur. SOLUTION: The joint comprises: an universal joint 16 for adjusting a connection angle between pipes to be interconnected; an expansion joint part 20 where pipes to be interconnected are axially movable; and a short pipe 17 for connection provided at two ends with respective couplings between the universal joint part and an expansion joint part. The universal joint part is provided with a spherical receiving part 22 having a spherical inner surface 21 situated at the end part of a lower connection pipe 15; and a spherical outer surface 23 corresponding to the spherical surface of the spherical receiving part 22; and spherical outer face 23 corresponding to the spherical inner surface of the spherical receiving part 23. The universal joint and a spherical spigot member 25 having a pipe insertion port 24 into which a small spigot 26 of a short tube 17 for connection is inserted are rotatably intercoupled. The expansion joint part is axially movably coupled by inserting the lower part of a rise pipe 12 into a large receiving port 18 through an elastic cylinder 19 formed of an elastically deformable material.
