    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat the surface of a conductor with a simple physical means, without employing chemical treatment such as pickling which is a pretreatment for preventing discoloration.
      SOLUTION: This conductor surface treatment method comprises performing steps of polishing the surface of a conductor work 3 made from copper or a copper alloy with a rotary polisher 2 and deburring steps 4 and 5, simultaneously with a step of discoloration prevention treatment 6, by adding a discoloration inhibitor 10 into the cutting water 1, which is used in the deburring step 5 of polishing the work 3 while supplying the cutting water 1; and having a step of polishing the side of the work, before the steps of polishing the surface and deburring, which are defined to be main steps, and a draining step and a drying step, after the main steps.
