    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator element for a textile machine, which has environmental resistance and improves productivity thereof by simplifying a manufacturing step, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric actuator element for a textile machine includes a piezoelectric body having a shim plate and piezoelectric ceramics which are laminated on both the front and back surfaces of the shim plate and have electrode films on both the front and back surfaces of the ceramics. A piezoelectric element includes a front end supporting part 3 attached to one end portion connected to the textile machine and a rear end supporting part 8 attached to other end portion. Conductive wires 4a, 4a, 4b for supplying current to the electrode films on both surfaces and the shim plate of the piezoelectric element are connected to the electrode films and the plate, and an electrical insulating film is coated so as to cover the entire surface including connecting portions of the conductive wires. The rear end supporting part 8 is sealed with a material which covers the electrode films, the shim plate, the connecting portions of the conductive wires and the vicinity thereof and has water-vapor resistance and non-conductivity. The unit driver 71 also has a boot-strap circuit 80 that controls a voltage inputted to a gate of the FET N1 according to a variation in a voltage outputted from its unit driver 71.
