    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent light source for lightning, which is a transparent light emitting device excellent and adequate for the purpose of lightning. SOLUTION: The transparent light emitting device has a layered structure comprising a light emitting organic layer disposed between an upper electrode and a lower electrode. The layered structure is transparent in a condition being switched off, and emits light generated in the light emitting organic layer by applying a potential between the upper and lower electrodes in a condition being switched on. The light is emitted through the upper or lower electrodes at least the ratio of about 4:1.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved upper part emission device, especially an organic light emitting diode which can be economically manufactured, and suitable for a mass-production process.
      SOLUTION: On the upper part emission device having laminar arrangement applied on a base plate, especially an organic light emitting diode, the laminar arrangement includes a bottom part electrode laid on the base plate, an upper part electrode emitting light therefrom, and also lamination of an organic layer laid between the bottom part electrode and the upper part electrode. The surface of the bottom electrode, facing the lamination of the organic layer is formed into light reflection type at least on a partial area, and formed by a surface structure regulating the reflection of the light generated at lamination of the organic layers generated at the bottom electrode. The surface structure is formed by mechanical formation.
