      SOLUTION: The amplifier comprises: an amplification circuit 2 for amplifying a high-frequency signal S1; a directional coupler 7 for extracting the traveling-wave component of the high-frequency signal S1 and the reflection signal of the amplification circuit 2; first adjustment circuits (a composite circuit 10, an attenuator 11, and a delay circuit 12) for canceling the traveling-wave component and the reflection wave component of the high-frequency signal contained in the reflection signal, and adjusting the amplitude and phase of a distortion component included in the reflection signal by synthesizing the traveling-wave component (signal S4) extracted from the high-frequency signal S1 and the reflection signal (a signal S8) extracted by the directional coupler 7; second adjustment circuits (an attenuator 8 and a delay circuit 9) for adjusting the amplitude and phase of the traveling-wave component (a signal S4); a synthesizing circuit 13 for synthesizing the output signal of the first and second adjustment circuits; amplification circuits 14, 15 for amplifying the output signal of the synthesizing circuit 13; and a synthesizing circuit 16 for synthesizing the output signal of the amplification circuits 2, 15.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a conventional microwave or electromagnetic wave irradiator has not uniformly irradiated an irradiated object with microwaves or electromagnetic waves or with a specified power distribution.
      SOLUTION: A part of the microwaves or electromagnetic waves emitted from a linear antenna is reflected by a reflector to reach the irradiated object and the rest of it directly reaches the irradiated object. By using the interference of waves of the reflection components and the direct components, microwaves or electromagnetic waves can be made to have a uniform or specific power distribution in the irradiated object. The irradiated object is positioned with a cover that is brought into contact with the irradiated object, and it can be always irradiate with a similar power distribution.

The device is characterized by that the microwaves or the electromagnetic waves radiated from the antenna can be directly emitted to the irradiation object in a vessel at point-blank range.
