    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a glass-made molding tool for a plastic lens which can mold the plastic lens with high precision and can be best-suitably used even in case the plastic lens is an aspheric lens, a molding tool manufactured by this method and a plastic lens manufactured using the molding tool.
      SOLUTION: The glass-made molding tool for molding the plastic lens is manufactured by first pressing a pressing mold 1 to the surface of a softened glass 2, then cooling the pressed glass 2 down to less than a glass transition point while the pressing operation is maintained, and slow cooling the glass 2 after the removal of the pressing operation. The softened glass 2 is of a projecting shape and the best-suited manufacturing procedure is to press the glass 2 starting with the projecting part. Thus it is possible to manufacture the plastic lens by using the glass-made molding tool made by the described manufacturing method.
