摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor care method and machine with an exchangeable floor care element (for example, a cleaning pad, a brush, and a polishing pad or the like) which is easily attached to and detached from the rest of the machine. SOLUTION: For attaching the floor care element, an operator positions the machine (without the floor care element) on such an element so that members on the machine and/or the floor care element cause the floor care element to operationally align with the rotatable drive of the machine in order that the rotation of the drive in the direction used during floor care operations causes the floor care element to securely attach to the drive. Alternatively, the direction of rotation is reversed to detached the floor care element. The handle link mechanism 76 communicates deck pivot forces between the deck 54 and the handle apparatus, and communicates such forces resulting from a compressing or decompressing of a compressible component provided along the length of the handle device.

A sheet member 74 is slid along the whole length of a first and a second side walls 108, 112 of a continuous member 104, and along the whole length of a first and a second protruded parts 80, 84 of the seet member 74 to be removed. The brush unit 14 is turned or rotated by 180 deg. to be reconnected to a connection member 104.

SOLUTION: A vehicle 30 uses an articulated connection type steering structure to receive an operator and obtain a small turning radius. The vehicle 30 has a front portion 32 supported by a pair of front wheels 34. Also, the vehicle 30, has the rear portion 36 supported by a set of rear wheels 38A or the like. The front portion 32 is connected to the rear portion 36 through a rotational connection structure 40. A cleaner is steered by a steering mechanism to operate the rotational connection structure 40 for moving the front and rear portions 32, 38 relatively to each other like scissors and thereby turning the vehicle 30. Generally the vehicle has a drive system, braking system and steering system for the rotational connection structure 40. The vehicle 30 has a plurality of basic cleaning elements including a cleaning liquid tank 42.
