    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low temperature casting method and a low temperature casting apparatus for spheroidal graphite cast iron which is obtained by precision casting using a die and has high strength equivalent to that of a forged one and generates no external or internal defect.SOLUTION: The low temperature casting method includes a vacuum processing step of storing molten metal 12 of spheroidal graphite cast iron subjected to spheroization treatment into a vacuum processing apparatus 2, and keeping the molten metal 12 at the predetermined degree of vacuum for the predetermined time, a pouring step of instantaneously pouring molten metal present in temperature range of 1,350°C to the liquidus temperature and having passed through the vacuum processing step into a die 5, and a pressurizing step of pressurizing the entire cavity C of the die 5 by using a pressurizing apparatus 4 after pouring the molten metal. Since the molten metal of spheroidal graphite cast iron is modified by the vacuum processing, a casting of spheroidal graphite cast iron of fine structure and high strength can be obtained by pressurizing and rapidly cooling the molten metal of cast iron present at the low-temperature range including the semi-solidification temperature range in the die.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent corotation of fastening bolts and nuts when connecting two types of pipe flanges and a pipe flange capable of connecting with both the pipe flanges.
      SOLUTION: In the two types of downside pipe flanges F1, F2, diameters D1, D2 of center circles in which bolt holes H1, H2 are provided same in diameter and number are different in size. The double-end stud 1 is used for loading and connecting an upside pipe flange F with a long hole H having a form in which the bolt holes H1, H2 of the two types of downside pipe flanges F1, F2 closely arranged on a same radius continues so as to correspond to the respective bolt holes H1, H2 of the two types of downside pipe flanges F1, F2. A cylindrical part 4 of the bolt 1 is provided with a protruding part 5 of which side is swelled out to fit with the long hole form. A protruding part forming section 6 of the bolt 1 is arranged to be loadable to the long hole H in both cases that the protruding part 5 is oriented to a centrifugal direction X and it is oriented to a centripetal direction Y of the upside pipe flange F and a lower screw part 3 of the bolt 1 can be inserted for either one of the bolt holes H1, H2 of the downside pipe flanges F1, F2.
