    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor a polishing amount at the time of polishing and control the polishing amount so that it becomes a fixed polishing amount corresponding to the set polishing amount set in advance to stabilize a polishing condition. SOLUTION: A polishing pad 16 is brought in contact with an input face part A by an articulated robot 14, the polishing pad 16 is rotated by a pad rotation motor 15, and the input face part A is rotated by a part rotation motor 12 for polishing. At the time of polishing, the number of rotation of the polishing pad 16 is measured by an encoder 17, and a load to be applied in a condition in which the polishing pad 16 is in contact with the input face part A is measured by a load measuring device 18. A polishing amount is computed based on an output value of the encoder 17, an output value of the load measuring device 18, and an angular speed of the part rotation motor 12 by a control means 21. At least one of the pad rotation motor 15, the part rotation motor 12, and the articulated robot 14 is controlled so that the computed polishing amount becomes a fixed polishing amount corresponding to the set polishing amount of a memory 22.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform digital representation of a radiation image in which a read-out rate is independent of a collection rate of the radiation image by providing an X-ray detecting storage device for storing an X-ray image capable or radiation of image modulation light in an X-ray image detector and detecting the image modulation light by a two-dimensional position detecting gas photon detector. SOLUTION: When an X-ray image detector is exposed to an radiation image, the image is stored in a light stimulation fluorescent layer 1 until the detector performs read-out operation. This light simulation fluorescent layer 1 is stimulated in linearity by the light in a stimulation wavelength range of a phosphor. The wavelength range of the light emitted by this stimulation light source is filtered, and as a result, a wavelength below a photo-electron radiation threshold value of a photoelectric cathode is filtered and removed. A light guide 10 and a linear light source 11 are transported along the light stimulation fluorescent layer in a direction indicated by an arrow 12. Here, the X-ray detecting storage device can radiate image modulation light, and the two-dimensional position detecting gas photon detector is disposed so as to detect image modulation light.
