    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the ease of sound production, sound volume, rising, etc., of a wind instrument by disposing a hermetically sealed resonance cylinder between a cork plug for preventing air leakage and a mouthpiece hole 7 for blowing breath in order to produce sounds. SOLUTION: The resonance cylinder 8 is made of the same material as the tubular body of the musical instrument and the shape thereof is formed by cutting in a metallic column from one side and shaping the inner side into a dome shape, then brazing a columnar metallic plate of the same blank as a cap thereto and completely hermetically sealing both. A thread arbor 2 is brazed to this resonance cylinder 8 and is inserted into columnar cork 3 having an outside diameter exactly fitting into the bore of the tubular body of the musical instrument. When air is blown from the mouthpiece hole 7, the flow of the air is generated in the tube and the air column confined thus far in the tubular body vibrates to generate the sounds. At this time, the vibration of the air is transferred to the outside wall of the resonance cylinder 8 and is further transmitted via the wall into the hermetically sealed resonance cylinder 8. Since this vibration is amplified in the resonance cylinder 8 and, the sound volume, the rising of the sounds, etc., are greatly increased.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate fitting and removal work and to surely close a hole of a thum plate so as to prevent a change in capacity of the hole and obtain good musical interval by sticking a thin cover for closing the hole of a ring key to the surface of the ring key. SOLUTION: A ring key cover 21 is stuck to the surface of a ring key 3, to be exact, it is stuck to the center of the surface of a thum plate 13 to close a hole 14 of the thum plate. As material quality of the cover 21, synthetic resin, paper, cloth, wood or the like is used to be formed like a film or a thin plate. To stick the cover 21 to the surface of the thum plate 13, an adhesive may be used or a pressure sensitive adhesive may be previously applied to one surface of the cover 21. Preferably the adhesive force of the adhesive or the cohesion of the pressure sensitive adhesive agent used in sticking is not so strong so that the cover 21 can be easily removed. Thus, it is not necessary to fit a gap or a closure to the hole 14, so the removal work can be facilitated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obtain a construction which generates resonance on the outside of musical instruments so as to lessen the turbulence in woodwind instruments and brass instruments by providing hollow housing members of a size to enclose the terminals and base ends of the wind instruments with plural shoe elements in such a manner as to engage with the prescribed parts at the circumferences of the respective terminals and base ends. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the acoustic system of acoustic adjusting rings and bells engaging with the terminals and base ends of the wind instruments, such as a flute 101, an alto clarinet 102, b-flat clarinet 103, other woodwind instruments, or brass instruments. The acoustic system is constituted to include the hollow housing members 20, 30 of the shape to enclose the terminal and base end of the wind instrument. The acoustic system is characterized by the respective hollow housing members 20, 30 which have the plural shoe elements, for example, a pair of the shoe elements facing each other, preferably at least two, more preferably three shoe elements. The shoe elements are so formed as to engage with the prescribed parts of the circumferences at the terminal and base end of the musical instrument.
