    • PURPOSE:To permit the shortening of quick freezing and drying time by shell freeze method by a method wherein liquid, provided with predetermined conditions, is dispersed or applied on the upper surface of a coolable base plate, wet-contact surface is formed between the outer peripheral surface of a vessel, laid on the liquid, and the base plate and the vessel is rolled on the base plate. CONSTITUTION:Liquid, permitted in sanitary conditions, not frozen within a necessary temperature range and vaporizable easily, is dispersed or applied on the surface of a coolable base plate 2, inclined with an angle alpha (including the case of alpha=0) with respect to the horizontal surface, so as to have a thin thickness. A vessel D, filled with a material to be frozen and provided with a cylindrical body, is laid on the upper surface of the base plate 2 so that liquid material in the vessel will never flow out through the mouth of the vessel D or in a posture wherein the mouth is faced toward the climbing slope of the base plate 2. The vessel D is rolled into a direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the cylindrical body thereof while cooling the base plate 2 whereby the liquid material in the vessel is frozen along the whole inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical part of the vessel D. According to this method, the quick freezing by shell freeze method and the shortening of a freezing time can be effected.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure effective environment for cold air and to enable effective and average cooling and freezing of an object to be processed by a method wherein inner partition walls are erected in a cold air circulating space, in which a net conveyor made of a metal is moved, at an interval slightly wider than the width of the conveyor to form a double structure, and a partition wall for guiding cold air is erected at right angles with the moving direction of the conveyor. CONSTITUTION:An object to be processed which is supplied from a feed port 12 is cooled or frozen while passing through a space between inner partition walls 8 erected and facing each other in a freezing chamber by means of a net conveyor 1, and is taken out as a frozen good through a take-out port 13. In this case, the inner partition walls 8 are provided upright in a cold air circulating space, where the net conveyor 1 made of a metal is moved, at an interval slightly wider than the width of the conveyor to form double structure, and partition walls 9 for guiding cold air are provided upright at right angled with the moving direction of the net conveyor 1. Cold air from a cold air circulating device 7 passes through a space, surrounded with the inner partition walls 8 erected facing each other and the cold air guide partition wall 9, effectively without incurring of a loss, and the object to be processed on the net conveyor can be cooled or frozen effectively and in an average manner.
