    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft vegetable (for example, leaf vegetables) harvester of a simple structure that gives no damage to the soft vegetables, when they are cut off their root parts and carried upward with conveyers.
      SOLUTION: The harvester 1 is for cutting off the roots of weak vegetables with the cutting blade 6 arranged at the front part of the machine body and sending a plurality of the root-cut vegetables backward with a conveyer 8. Vertical guide walls are formed on both right and left sides of the conveyer 8 and a plurality of the weak vegetables relayed from the cutter blade 6 onto the belt conveyer 8 and gathered together on the middle part. Leaves of the gathered weak vegetables tangle each other and they are conveyed backward as they retain their initial standing postures.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized light-weight root-cutting harvester for soft vegetables such as spinach, enabling easy operation on an open field or in a greenhouse, and cutting the root of the vegetable in high efficiency while keeping standing posture. SOLUTION: The frame 1 of the harvester is fixed to the center shaft of wheels 2 at both ends of the wheels 2. A sprocket 4 is fixed to a driving shaft 3 connected to an engine and is connected to a sprocket 6 through a chain 5. The sprocket 6 is connected to an axial variation sprocket through a shaft, and the axial variation sprocket is connected to a metal rod 10 through a connection shaft separated from the center by about 2 cm. The metal rod 10 is connected to the tip end of a rod of a cutting blade 12 fixed to the frame 1 with a bearing through a shaft positioned opposite to the axial variation sprocket.
