    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air battery system which can prevent the immersion of a water content in air and is suitable for high rate discharge.
      SOLUTION: The problem is solved by providing the air battery system including a sealed air battery cell having: an air electrode having an air electrode layer containing a conductive material and an air electrode power collector for collecting electric power from the air electrode layer; a negative electrode having a negative electrode layer containing an negative electrode active material that adsorbs and releases metal ions and a negative electrode power collector for collecting electric power from the negative electrode layer; a separator provided between the air electrode layer and the negative electrode layer; and a sealed air battery case, and also including a depressurization portion that reduces the internal pressure of the sealed air battery cell lower than the atmospheric pressure.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cell system capable of suppressing increase of internal resistance caused by electrolyte shortage, and of high-rate discharge. SOLUTION: The above problem is solved by providing this air cell system characterized by including: an air cell having an air electrode having an air electrode layer containing a conductive material and an air electrode collector which collects electricity from the air electrode layer, a negative electrode having a negative electrode layer containing a negative electrode active material which stores/releases metal ions and a negative electrode collector which collects electricity from the negative electrode layer, and a separator arranged between the air electrode layer and the negative electrode layer, wherein, when a volume change of the electrode caused by discharge or discharge/charge occurs, the air electrode layer and the negative electrode layer are always filled with the electrolyte; and an oxygen gas supply means which supplies oxygen gas to the electrolyte by bubbling.
