    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotator sealing system which secures airtightness of a rotator seal even in case of deformation of a rotary drum by torque and heat thereby which enhances reliability and safety.
      SOLUTION: The rotator sealing system 9 interposing between the rotary drum 1 and a static body 2 provides a seal plate 6 connected to the static body 2 and an expansion part 7 which is fixed on the seal plate 6 and which is elastic. The seal plate 6 is provided with a holding mechanism part 8 which regulates movements of a seal box 4. Furthermore, the expansion part 7 is connected to the seal box 4 and a sleeve 3 is fixed on the rotary drum 1. Also, the inside of the seal box 4 is provided with a seal material 5 in slide contact with the outer circumference of the fixed sleeve 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preclude the invasion of a fibrous substance, contained in sludge, into a drying machine body by a method wherein a sludge supplying pipeline near the charging port of sludge for the drying machine body is provided with a filter while the filter is provided with a cutting member in the same. SOLUTION: A filter 17, having a cutting member in the same, is attached to the sludge charging port 8 of a drying machine body 2. Sludge is passed through the filter 17 and a sludge supplying pipeline 18 to supply the same into the sludge charging port 8 of the drying machine body 2. In this case, the filter 17 is formed of a metallic material, not corroded easily and having an elasticity, while the kind of filter is made changeable in accordance with the nature of the sludge. According to this method, the rotation of the drying machine will not be hindered or an air extraction passage will not be clogged due to the entangling of the fibrous material around the main shaft or the blades of the drying machine body 2 whereby the deterioration of drying performance can be prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge treating system capable of adjusting water content to be an aimed water content even in the case of changing the water content of sludge from a sludge treating device in accordance with the property of the sludge. SOLUTION: The sludge treating device is provided with a sludge treating device 5 as a centrifugal thin film dryer having a main shaft and a sludge supply pump 10a for supplying the sludge to the sludge treating device 5. The supply quantity and the concentration of the sludge supplied to the sludge treating device 5 are measured respectively by a flow meter 10 and a sludge concentration meter 11. The sludge from the sludge treating device 5 is stored in a storage device 9 and the weight is detected by a weight detecting device 7. The weight from the weight detecting device 7, the supply quantity from the flow meter 10 and the concentration from the sludge concentration meter 11 are inputted to an arithmetic unit 8 and the water content of the sludge from the sludge treating device 5 is obtained in the arithmetic unit 8. The number of revolution of the main shaft of the supply pump 10a and the centrifugal thin film dryer 5 is adjusted based on the water content calculated by a control device 6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the breakage of blades or the like and obtain the long life of the blades by providing buffer members for absorbing impact force due to the collision of sludge lump between the blades and a main shaft. SOLUTION: A main shaft 2 is provided with buffer members 21 made of an elastic material. The buffer member 21 is formed by connecting one end of a cylinder member made of a rubber to the surface of a metallc base. An attaching screw fixed to the back surface of the metallic base is detachably and threadedly attached to a tapped hole provided on the main shaft 2. The other end of the buffer member 21 formed in a gently spherical shape is opposed to the blade 6. The attaching position of the buffer member 21 is set to a position abutting on a position nearer to the end part of the blade 6 than to the center of gravity position of the blade 6. Since the buffer member 21 is soft, the waveform of impact force has a frequency component lower than the natural frequency of the bending of the blade 6. A stress waveform after collision rarely shows a vibration.
