摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device provided with a stopper mechanism of a cassette door for preventing the duplicated insertion of the cassette by constituting the cassette door so as not to be opened after the cassette is loaded. SOLUTION: The stopper mechanism of the cassette door is provided for making the cassette door 4 of a cassette port disabled to open when the tape cassette is loaded at the loading position. By this stopper mechanism of cassette door, an operating piece 53 is pressed down to one end side of a frame member 50 turning around a fulcrum shaft, linked with the loading operation of tape cassette to the loading position, and a stopper piece 55 is protruded into the cassette port at another end side of the frame member 50, then the cassette door 4 is butted on this stopper piece 55 so as not to be opened.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording/reproducing device of a VCR (commercial video cassette recorder utilizing compatible system) device, etc., capable of preventing the fall-off of reel bases and an oscillating gear and also providing a reel unlocking member, by a single composed member. SOLUTION: The recording/reproducing device is constituted so that the space between two reel bases 1, 2 is changeable and two large/small tape cassettes 4A, 4B are selectively mountable on the reed bases 1, 2. The oscillating gear 30 is provided for selectibly engaging with the reel bases 1, 2 to rotationally drive them. Then, the reel bases 1, 2 and the oscillating gear 30 are prevented from falling off by the single fall-off preventing member 40, and also a reel unlocking piece 44 for the large cassette 4B is arranged on the fall-off preventing member 40, and a reel unlocking piece 45 for the small cassette 4A is arranged on a movable arm member 46.

摘要： PURPOSE:To apply adequate torque on reel base and to miniaturize the device which permits use of large and small tape cassettes and operates the reel base with existing motors by providing the gear of the device with a brake mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The oscillation fulcrum gear 17 on a tape supply side is freely rotatably born coaxially with a fulcrum shaft 5 on a mechanical deck section 4 and is meshed with a gear 11 on the reel base 7. The lower part of the gear 17 is provided with a brake drum 19 of the diameter smaller than the diameter of the gear. A brake and 32, fixed at one end of the mechanical deck part and at the other end to a bearing shaft 28 of a tension regulator arm 27, is brought into pressurized contact with the brake drum 19 of the gear 17. The tape T is brought into elastic contact with a tension regulator pin 29 of the arm 27 and the tension thereon is controlled by turning of the arm 27 and pressurized contact of the band 32 and the drum 19. The size, weight and cost of the device and reduced by the mechanism of adequately adjusting the rotation torque applied on the steel base 7, 8 in such a manner.

Therefore, a switch 29 for detecting cassette size does not perform the changeover operation. The cassette 33 is further inserted, and at the time when the back end 33a of cassette is attained to the position almost coincident with that of the cassette inserting window 8, a lever 30 for detecting cassette insertion is operated for turning by the cassette holder 10 to changeover a switch 32 for detecting cassette insertion. At this time point, the insertion of the small cassette is discriminated. Next, when the large cassette 34 is inserted, the switch 29 is changed over by the lever 27, therefore, the insertion of the large cassette is detected.

A tape cassette 1 in which the reel lock member is moved to the lock release position when a lock release member installed in a recording and reproducing apparatus is inserted into the cassette case and presses the reel lock member and whose size is different is used. The lock release member is erected and installed on a moving plate which can be moved on a plane parallel to a chassis 37, and the lock release member is moved to an insertion position corresponding to the tape cassette on which the lock release member has been mounted.
