    • PURPOSE:To prevent the increase and the variation of the frictional force of a bearing due to the influence of dust and reduce the number of parts and the increase of weight to make conversion easy, by providing an elastic deforming material which is attached into a cap covering the bearing and is brought into contact with the surface of a rail in the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:A duct removing material 9 is moved on the surface of a rail 1 in accordance with the movement of a carriage 3, and dust on the rail 1 is removed by this operation. A dust-proof cap 8 prevents not only dropped or floated dust from sticking to the outside wheel of a bearing 10 but also dust from penetrating the bearing 10 from gaps of the bearing 10. Since the dust- proof cap 8 is pressed to a shaft 11 with a proper force, attaching parts are not especially required, and it is not slipped off in the normal use. Since the increase of the weight of the part of the dust-proof cap 8 is slight and the dust removing material 9 has the end face brought into contact with the rail 1, the increase of the force of rolling friction is slight. Consequently, the replacement of the dust preventing and removing mechanism is easy, and positioning control and maintenance are made easy.

CONSTITUTION:An objective lens 1, a tracking direction driving coil 23 and parallel springs 601, 602 are connected to an objetive lens holder 22, and the objective lens holder 22 is supported by a moving member 7 through the parallel springs 601, 602. The moving member 7 is guided by a yoke 13 through plural bearing balls 26 and a retainer 27. The objective lens 1 moves in a focusing direction 1001 through a focusing direction driving coil 8. The objective lens 1 moves in a tracking direction 1002 through a coil 23. Accordingly, a shift of the focus and the position of an optical spot is corrected with good responsiveness.

CONSTITUTION:In a digital optical disc, the jump operation shifting the optical spot from a guide groove to a guide groove in a short time where recorded parts and nonrecording part are mixed, is made stable, and the average value of the reflected luminous amount from the recorded track is a half the nonrecording track, and although a track shift detecting signal E1 is largely changed, the peak position of a total reflected luminous amount E2 is unchanged. Thus, to detect the middle point between the tracks, this peak point is detected and denoted as a switching timing point for acceleration and deceleration, and to improve the stability of jump, the optical spot is once positioned at the middle point of the tracks and led to the objective track.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately form a spot close to a diffraction limit and correctly record/reproduce information, by controlling with the use of an inexpensive and light-weight lens so that light beams pass the vicinity of a center of a lens of an optical head at all times at the tracking time. SOLUTION: The apparatus has an optical head for shedding laser beam onto an optical disk 3, a tracking signal formation means indicating a shift of a spot from a track based on an output of a photodetecting means detecting a reflecting light from the optical disk 3, a first driving means 320 for moving the optical head, a second driving means 312 for tracing the track in accordance with a tracking signal and moving a lens in parallel to a surface of the optical disk 3 to move the spot, and a detection means for detecting the movement of the second driving means 312 when the second driving means 312 operates and outputting a signal. The first driving means 320 moves the optical head in accordance with an output of the detection means so as to reduce the shift of the spot moved by the second driving means 312 while the second driving means 312 traces a required track. Accordingly, the track is traced by the optical head following the movement of the driving means 312.
