摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge equipped with a conductive member capable of maintaining good electrification over a long period without causing defective electrification due to the soil of the conductive member. SOLUTION: As for the image forming apparatus, the conductive member constituting an electrifying means is constituted of a conductive supporting body and an elastic layer formed on the conductive supporting body, and also, the ASKER C hardness of the conductive member is ≤ 85°, and also, the micro hardness is ≤ 85°, the maximum elastic compression load of developer is within the extent of 15 to 70mgf, and the micro hardness of a cleaning member constituting a cleaning means is 60° to 80°. SOLUTION: A material that forms the outermost layer of the electrifying roller has two glass transition temperatures. Preferably, the glass transition temperature that is the higher one is higher than the glass transition temperature of the toner used in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus using the electrifying roller.
