SOLUTION: The glass ceramic sintered compact comprises 35-70 mass% of a barium boron silicate glass phase and 30-65 mass% of a barium strontium titanate compound, wherein it has a coefficient of thermal expansion at 40-400°C of 8.5×10 -6 /°C or more and a relative dielectric constant at 1 MHz-3 GHz of 13 or more.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric porcelain composition which has excellent dielectric properties in a high frequency zone without the incorporation of lead (Pb), and can be cofired with a silver electrode or the like at relatively low temperatures, and can obtain a dense sintered compact, and to provide a production method thereof. SOLUTION: Glass of x pts.wt. (2.5≤x≤15.0), and B 2 O 3 of y pts.wt. (1.0≤y≤15.0) are mixed to 100 pts.wt. of the material consisting of a perovskite type crystal phase expressed by the general formula of CaTiO 3 as the main crystals. The glass is expressed by the compositional formula of aB 2 O 3 -bBi 2 O 3 - cZnO, wherein a, b, and c satisfiy, by molar ratio, 0.2≤a≤0.5, 0.1≤b≤0.4, and 0.1≤c≤0.4; but, a+b+c=1. By the addition of small quantities of the above glass and B 2 O 3 , dense dielectric porcelain having the characteristics of a relative dielectric constant εr=50 to 150, and Q=300 to 820 (in the frequency of 4.2 to 6.7 GHz) can be heated and fired in the range of 890 to 920°C. The dielectric porcelain composition which can be cofired with a silver electrode or the like does not contain harmful lead (Pd). COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
