    • PURPOSE:To improve fuel consumption, by a method wherein two flat laminar throttle valves, sliding across an intake air passage, are vertically moved through control by a driver, and a vacuum piston with a needle, vertically moved by means of a venturi negative pressure by means of which slide upper and lower limits are regulated, is situated in the throttle valve. CONSTITUTION:A slide type throttle valve 4, vertically moved by means of an arm 6 rotated around a shaft 5, is formed with two flat plates 4a and 4b. A vacuum piston 7, to the lower end of which a needle 16 is secured, is slidably situated between the flat plates 4a and 4b, the vacuum piston is coupled to a diaphragm 10, located above a carburetter, through a hollow rod 8, and the negative pressure of a venturi part is guided in a diaphragm chamber 11. Along with an increase in a venturi negative pressure, the vacuum piston 7 is moved upward, and is movable upward until it is forced into contact with an upper regulating part in the throttle valve.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate a conventional calking step to enhance the productivity of vacuum actuated valves each of which is elevated in accordance with vacuum in an intake-air passage, by providing an upper plate cooperating with the engaging section of the vacuum actuated valve when a partition member such as, for example, a diaphragm is disposed in the vacuum actuated valve. CONSTITUTION:In a constant vacuum type carburetor in which a vacuum actuated valve 1 is elevated in an intake-air pipe by means of a partition member such as, for example, a diaphragm, due to vacuum produced in the intake-air pipe upstream of a throttle valve, a lower plate 2 is disposed in the upper section of the vacuum actuated valve 1. Further, a plurality of flange parts 1B are arranged at the outer periphery of the upper cylindrical section 1A of the valve 1, being laterally projected therefrom. Further, there is provided a an upper plate 4 having a plurality of recess sections 4B which relieves the flange sections 1B, and a plurality of locking step sections 4D provided on the upper surface of the projections 4C between the recess sections 4B and adapted to be fitted onto the flange parts 1B. After the valve 1 and the partition member 3 being assembled, the upper plate 4 is combined therewith, and the upper plate is pressed while it is rotated so that the assembly is completed.
