    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect on the air fuel ratio in an engine by supplying negative pressure to a negative pressure chamber stably by controlling the actuation of an ejector in a pneumatic assistor. SOLUTION: The negative pressure chamber of an assistor body 16 is connected to the intake pipe 22 of the engine 19 through a pipe passage 21. The air outlet port 27 of the ejector 17 is connected to the intake pipe 22 through a control valve 18, and the air inlet port 25 of the ejector 17 is connected to an air cleaner 32, and a negative pressure take out port 30 is connected to the negative pressure chamber of the assistor body 16. The negative pressure of the assistor body 16 is introduced into the control chamber 42 of the control valve 18 through a pipe passage 36 to work on a control piston 41. In negative pressure is insufficient, the control piston 41 opens the control valve 18 so that negative pressure is supplied from the ejector 17. If negative pressure is sufficient, the control piston 41 closes the control valve 18 to stop the actuation of the ejector 17, reducing the air fuel ratio in the engine 19.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise generated by a valve mechanism 16. SOLUTION: A tandem brake booster 1 is provided with a solenoid 17 in a valve body 6. When the solenoid valve 17 is energized, a cylindrical member 21 connected with the solenoid 17 is pushed forward to open an air valve 32 and to close a vacuum valve 27. The tandem brake booster 1, thereby can be operated without applying a brake pedal. When energizing the solenoid valve 17 is stopped, a piston 57 and the cylindrical member 21 return to indicated non-operation positions. Accordingly, an end surface of a flange part 21F of the cylindrical member 21 and an end surface in a valve plunger 24 side opposing the same, which were separated before, get in contact. The cylindrical member 21 is made of synthetic resin and has many dimple parts formed on the end surface of the flange part 21F. Contact noise generated when the end surface of the flange part 21F and the end surface of the valve plunger 24 get in contact, thereby is controlled.

SOLUTION: This pneumatic booster 1 is so constituted that a temporary fixing clip 6 is formed by providing a regulating claw 7 for regulating the movement of the fitting bolt 3 in the pulled-out direction and a plurality of lock parts 9 formed by cutting and erecting the side face of the cylinder, in an approximately C-sectional cylindrical member and the temporary fixing clip is installed in the fitting bolt 3. This constitution of inserting the fitting bolt 3 with the temporary fixing clip 6 installed therein into a temporary fixing bolt insertion hole can lock the lock part 9 of the temporary fixing clip 6 so as to temporarily fix the pneumatic booster 1 to the car body with the fitting bolt 3 taking a prescribed attitude to the cabin side.
