摘要： PURPOSE:To clean off an ink applied to the end portions of a backup roller without decreasing an operation rate and generating paper waste to conduct a long-time and good-quality printing, by a method wherein an ink solvent supply device and an ink scrape device are respectively provided on both ends of the backup roller. CONSTITUTION:An ink solvent supply device 12 supplies an ink solvent from a nozzle 12b to the end of a backup roller 1 rotating as shown by an arrow A by opening a valve 12a. In this manner, the ink applied to the surface of the end of the backup roller 1 is dissolved. An ink scrape device 13 depresses an ink scraper 13a against the surface of the end of the rotating backup roller 1 and scrapes the ink dissolved in the ink solvent together with the ink solvent to collect it in an ink pan 13b. In this manner, the end of the backup roller 1 is cleaned and the applied ink is removed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance liquid film scraping capacity and reliability by making it possible to finely adjust the scraping amount of the liquid film on the peripheral surface of a roller, by mounting a scraper blade part allowed to advance and retract with respect to the peripheral surface of the roller by the attack surface thereof holding a definite attack angle to the peripheral surface of the roller to be pressed to the outer peripheral surface of the roller. CONSTITUTION:The title apparatus is constituted so as to be equipped with the non-flexible scraper 15 provided so as to be connected to a moving support stand 12 through a spring member 13 and a scraper blade part 15a provided to the leading end part of the scraper 15 and allowed to advance and retract with respect to the peripheral surface of a roller 10 by the attack surface 15b thereof holding a definite attack angle to the outer peripheral surface of the roller 10 to be pressed to the peripheral surface of the roller 10. Even when the attack angle surface 15b of the scraper blade part 15a is pressed to the peripheral surface of the roller 10 to receive the reaction force, the scraper 15 is horizontally moved by the energizing force due to a spring member 13 and the attack angle surface 15b is held to a definite attack angle theta and the scraping action of a liquid film (a) due to the scraper blade part 15a is held to a desired state and the scraper blade part 15a of the scraper 15 is allowed to advance and retract with respect to the peripheral surface of the roller 10 at a slow speed by a screw shaft 11 through the moving support stand 12 and the spring member 13.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of burrs in the edge of a doctor blade and to improve the stability of printing by a method wherein a material which is more likely to be worn out or chipped minutely than the material on the surface side is superposed on the back side of the blade. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a brass material 4 is stuck by an adhesive, or copper plating is applied, on (the back side of) a material 3 of steel or stainless steel having a hardness enabling the primary working of a doctor, and thereby the joining portion B' of steel and copper is worn out in the same way as the portion of the fore end C' on the surface side of a doctor blade. This is because a sufficient doctor pressure is applied on the portion B' owing to the presence of the copper portion. The hardness of the copper portion is low, and therefore the contact surface D' of the copper material 4 with a gravure plate 2 is worn with the wear of the contact surface A' of the plate with the steel material 3 while burrs of the steel material 2 are prevented from occurring. The fore end E' of the outside of the copper material 4 is worn out uniformly even in the condition of a low doctor pressure. Accordingly, such printing troubles as comets and streaks, which take place in the course of printing, can be prevented.
