    • PURPOSE:To make the number of service pieces of rolling elements in each row be equal in case of a single row ball bearing as well as to secure such a constitution as capable of reducing the cost of manufacturing. CONSTITUTION:A double row ball bearing 1 is provided with two sets of inner and outer rings 2, 3 and 4, 5 to be installed adjacently in the axial direction, plural groups of rolling elements 6 to ne interposed between two sets of these inner and outer rings, and a single cage 7 holding these two-row groups of rolling elects 6 at the same time. In brief, these inner and outer rings usable in common with the single ball bearing are formed into two sets, whereby even if a cage for two rows is used, assemble in a state that the number of service pieces of rolling elements at each row is made to be equal to the single ball bearing is made achievable and, what is more, the whole body consisting of separate parts is formed inseparable.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the whole device from mechanical resonance and improve rigidity and compactness by disposing a ball carrier plate so that it contacts the ball without contacting a container and holding the ball and container on a shaft rod or inner ring. CONSTITUTION:Containers 11, 11' receiving respectively a plurality of balls 10, 10' as rolling bodies are disposed such that the openings thereof are opposed to each other though a common ball carrier plate 9, and the bottoms at the opposite sides are formed with holes 11a, 11'a concentric with the centers of the containers 11, 11'. Retainers 12, 12' having shaft rod inserting holes 12a, 12'a of the center holes having the diameter larger than the diameter of a shaft rod 8 are disposed in the holes 11a, 11'a. The balls 10, 10' are held at equal intervals by these retainers 12, 12'. The ball 10 makes respectively rolling contact with the shaft rod 8 at the front end A of arrow, the container 11 at the front end B of arrow and one surface of the ball carrier plate 9 at the front end C of arrow, and the ball 10' makes rolling contact with the shaft rod 8 at A', the container 11 at B' and the other surface of the ball carrier plate 9 at C'.
